Def Leppard | Drastic Symphonies
May 16th 2023 saw the release of Def Leppard’s Drastic Symphonies, a new album featuring Def Leppard’s best loved tracks reimagined via a collaboration with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
I was invited by Ellen Wright-Martin, Def Leppard’s art director, to come on board as designer for the record release. We worked together previously on Def Leppard’s previous record, Diamond Star Halos.
A photoshoot took place at a wonderful old, abandoned, derelict (and somewhat spooky) manor house out in the Yorkshire countryside. To compliment the narrative, we wanted to channel the decaying beauty of the building into our packaging and promo material.
